Amy Colcord Stuht came to PHS in the fall of 2022 to teach English IV; she added a class of English III to her roster in the fall of 2023. She taught English and worked with activities and administration for many years before returning to Payson. She began her educational journey at Payson Elementary School with the venerable Julia Randall as her first grade teacher. She earned a B.A. from ASU, an M.A. from CSU Long Beach, and an Ed.D. from UC Irvine and UCLA. She has authored several articles published in educational journals and has presented at educational conferences.
Dr. Stuht loves to read, hike, and bake. "I am grateful to live and work in the town where my family lived when I was born and teach at the school where my mother taught when I was a child," she exclaims. "Our students are kind, polite, and hard workers. They are impressive!
