Dear PUSD Families, 

Yesterday the decision was made to close our schools for today, Thursday, February 24, 2022, due to the continuation of evening snow and icy roads. Because a snow day was called, the District must schedule a make-up day. The law requires that students attend 144 days and meet the required instructional minutes (varies by grade level). In addition, employees must work the number of days specified in contracts.  

To meet students' minimum number of days and instructional minutes requirements, today (2/24/22) "snow day" must be made up. There are currently no snow make-up days scheduled in the school calendar. This morning a make-up date was decided upon, which will be  Friday, April 22, 2022; all schools will be in session (in-person). All regular bell schedules and activities will run accordingly, including transportation.  

As with any absence, if your child(ren) is(are) absent on this date please call your child(ren)'s school site to specify their attendance code/description.   Thank you for understanding and working with all PUSD faculty and staff in the effort to support your child(ren) the best possible.
